As part of UNISON’s CPD programme we are offering two half day workshops in Derry delivered by members of the Tissue Viability Nurses’ Network.

The wound care workshop takes place on Monday 21st of Sept and offers nurses and student nurses the chance to explore the wound assessment and management including
- dressing selection - VAC therapy - pressure ulceration - therapy mattresses

The pressure ulceration workshop takes place on Friday 25th Sept and is targeted at HCAs, nursing aux, AHPs and home care workers working in the public and private sector. Participants will get the chance to explore issues such as
• Causes of pressure ulceration
• Stages of pressure ulceration
• Prevention and treatment of pressure ulceration
• Leg ulcer prevention and treatment

Courses are free but only open to UNISON members.

Both workshops take place in our Derry office in Clarendon St and will be delivered by Jennifer Mullan (Altnagelvin)
