HIV Awareness Workshop - Derry Oct 11th

This event is being run by the HIV Support Centre in our office in Derry. With the rise in STIs generally, particularly in the younger population, it is essential that professionals understand about prevention and treatment. It may be of particular interest to health professionals, those working with young people and other vulnerable groups. This workshop takes place from 7 - 9pm and offers an opportunity to update and inform participants on issues around HIV and raise awareness.
It will cover the topics
History/background of HIV;
Diagnosis/treatment;
Continuing care;
HIV Support Centre services;
Stigma and prevention/education.
