Tackling Homophobia in the Workplace - June 29th

This workshop takes place in the UNISON Office, Belfast on Friday 29th June from 10am - 1pm. Homophobia has been called the last tolerated prejudice in that discrimination in the workplace against lesbian, gay and bisexual members regularly goes unopposed. This workshop aims to look at the environment which supports a culture of homophobia and develop ways of challenging it.

This course will look at discrimination in the workplace and what we as a trade union need to do to educate our members, and ensure lesbian, gay, transgender workers are treated with dignity and respect

Key Areas For You As A Learner
* What does the law say about discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender workers
* How can we create safe working environments to ensure all members are treated with dignity and respect
* How can we challenge in the wider community setting - discrimination and harassment of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender members
