OU Mental Health Taster - Downshire Hospital July 26th

As part of UNISON’s commitment to continuing development opportunites, we are running a series of lunchtime seminars based on Open University modules. “Challenging Ideas In Mental Health: Everyday issues for Health Care Workers ” will run on Wednesday July 26th. The events are targeted at nurses, allied health staff, nursing auxiliaries/assistants, health care assistants, student nurses, home care staff, but may be of interest to other staff working in Trusts or private nursing homes.

“Challenging Ideas in Mental Health” is a taster based on the Open University module Challenging Ideas in Mental Health K272 which includes looks at mental health from a holistic perspective which covers five dimensions of the person – social, emotional, physical, psychological and spiritual The session will be delivered by Mary Jo McAteer, OU tutor. The session will run from 1 - 2pm on Wednesday 26th July in Room C, Dufferin Training Complex

This module is included in the OU Pre-reg Nursing diploma, Social Work degree and BA in Health & Social Studies
