UNISON will be hosting an Open University taster workshop on “Dealing with Death & Dying in Health Care Settings” on Monday 12th of June from 1 - 2pm in Fern House. Light refreshments will be provided.

The session is based on the Open University module Death & Dying K206 which includes understanding and evaluating some concepts used frequently in managing death and dying, such as ‘a good death’, ‘autonomy and dignity’, ‘truth telling’ and ‘partnership and teamwork’.

This is aimed at nurses, allied health staff, nursing auxiliaries/assistants, health care assistants and student nurses but any UNISON member is welcome.

If you are planning to come along, it would be helpful to let us know for catering purposes. Please just drop a quick email to Fidelma at f.carolan@unison.co.uk or leave a message at 028 90770813.
