Recruitment for the Open University K100 course is currently open in the Royal Hospitals, United Hospitals, Craigavon & Banbridge Trust, Sperrin Lakeland Trust and has been extended in South & East Belfast Trust. Open University lunchtime taster sessions take place in Tyrone County on June 28th on mental health and in the Erne hospital on June 30th on health promotion. The events are targeted at nurses, allied health staff, nursing auxiliaries/assistants, health care assistants, student nurses, home care staff, but may be of interest to other staff working in Trusts or private nursing homes. »more

Enrolment for full and part time courses in Colleges of Further Education and the Open University is currently open. A number of providers are holding open days and/or advice sessions where you can go and talk to someone about courses on offer, funding options and career paths. A Summer programme is also running in Belfast Institute. »more

This month the BBC Yellow Bus will be visiting Belfast, Armagh, Ballycastle, Craigavon, Lisnaskea, Antrim and Gortin. A chance to have a go at the internet, digital photography and radio production. We have received a tremendous amount of interest in this course and places are full for June 13th. However, such is the response, that we are now re-running the course in Enniskillen on Tuesday 5th of September. Applicants who do not get a place on June's course, will be allocated a place for September.
