Targeted at: Health and safety representatives, activists with a health and safety role
Duration: 1 day
The Health and Safety event is a chance for reps from different branches to come together and focus on current issues impacting on the workplace.
What you and your Union can gain from the course:
• Understand the affect stress has on your members
• Key areas for negotiation with employers
• Supporting members who are suffering from stress at work
Participants will develop their understanding of:
• The causes of Stress at Work
• Work with members to ensure the issue is raised with managers and appropriate action is taken
• Ensuring risk assessments are carried out and acted on
Presentations will be given by:
• from the Health Services Executive (N I)
• Occupational Health, Royal Hospital
• Health & Safety Committee members
