Good clinical decisions are dependant on having all the relevant clinical information available when and where required. This talk will discuss how information technology is used in hospital acute care setting with particular reference to Intensive Care units (ICU).
Intensive Care Units are high technology environments providing a rich source of clinical information on patients. The use of Information Technology in collecting, storing and analysing this data enables clinicians, especially nurses and doctors, to access clear up to date information on patients.
