Understanding Multiple System Disease in Older People
Targeted at : Members working with older people
Duration: 1 day
This workshop will help participants to gain a better understanding of the causes of multiple system disease in older people
What you can gain from the course.
A chance to explore issues such as:
- The effects of ageing on the individual
- Common diseases of old age e.g. Congestive Heart Failure, Heart Attack, Respiratory Disease and Stroke
- The older person’s response to infection
- An overview of best practice in caring for older people.
Workshops using case studies will help participants to apply theory to practice, enabling them to develop their caring role.
