This seminar for care workers is an introduction to Diabetes Care. It will help participants gain an understanding of the causes and effects of the disease and discuss the impact it has on the individual’s life. Daily management and care services will be discussed.
What you can gain from the course
A chance to explore issues such as:
• The causes of Diabetes
• Common signs and symptoms
• Different types of Diabetes
• Potential complications
• Day to day management of the disease
• The importance of team work
Workshops using case studies will help participants examine the impact Diabetes has on the individual’s life and how they can help the patient stay healthy, in spite of the fact he/she has a chronic illness.
