Promoting Active Lifestyles

Targeted at Any member but targeted at Occupational therapy support workers
Duration Half day

This CPD workshop is intended for OT assistants and technicians, and generic support staff working in Occupational Therapy services. It will explore the contribution these staff can make to the wider strategy of active lifestyles and some good practice in this area. It is delivered in partnership with BAOT/College of Occupational Therapy.

Participants will get the chance to explore issues such as

• Introductions to ‘Active and Healthy Living’
• Awareness of UK Govt and NI Health initiatives for tackling health issues affecting diet and lifestyle
• Provide practical examples of using Occupational Therapy to promote healthier lifestyles
