This course is aimed at advisers, advocates and practitioners who have an interest in advising on the implications of mental health legislation and case law in Northern Ireland. This course will provide a general overview of mental health law and the key principles relevant in Northern Ireland. It will look at mental health law and related legislation, powers of compulsory detention and the process and powers of the Mental Health Review Tribunal.
It will be delivered by Sean McPartland and Louise Arthurs, Law Centre NI
