This course is part of UNISON’s Continuing Professional Development Programme

This workshop looks at the social model of health and the economic and social factors that impact upon our health. It is an interactive approach where you will explore the value of equality in terms of access and discrimination. The day will look at ways in which we can work together to challenge and change inequalities in health.

Key areas for you as a Learner:• A chance to share individual experiences of accessing health services
• What influences health and illness?
• What do we mean by equality?
• Exploring issues such as waiting lists, literacy and health information, discrimination in health access.
