Essential Skills through IT

Targeted at: Any member who would like to improve English skills and learn some basic computing. Not suitable if you already possess O Level /GCSE English A or B grade

Course Duration : 16weeks x 3hrs

Accreditation :
* Certificate in Essential Skills – literacy (CCEA) * Certificate in Basic IT Skills (OCN/OCR)

This course has been written to support members to improve skills such as spelling, grammar, sentence construction and learn new computer skills such as typing a document, moving text, saving, printing, use of internet and email.

Courses can be run, once we have 8-10 people from the same area, who would like to start.

Available in Antrim, Armagh, Ballymena, Ballymoney, Banbridge, Belfast, Coleraine, Derry, Downpatrick, Enniskillen, Larne, Lisburn, Lurgan, Magherafelt, Newry, Newtownabbey, Portadown, Strabane,

Members working in Health Trusts may be able to access this course through their employer in partnership with UNISON.
