As part of UNISON’s commitment to continuing professional development we are offering the Dementia Study Day targeted at any member working in this area or those who are in acute settings who would like a better understanding of the condition.
This is a full day event
• To provide staff with an understanding of the clinical condition of dementia.
• To understanding a psycho-social approach to people with dementia.
• To consider the meaning of behaviour that challenges in people with dementia and strategies to support people.
• To explore the issue of pain management in people with dementia.
• To identify practical ways to support people with dementia.
