Target: any member with an interest in dementia
Duration: Half day
UNISONʼs Continuing Professional Development programme is free to all members and aims to support members to develop their practice professionally and personally.
The high frequency of challenging behaviour in hospitals, care homes and other settings is a reflection of limited understanding among staff about how this behaviuor arises and how it is often a response to our own behavior or the environment.
This workshop explores how challenging behaviour is a form of communication and how we can respond appropriately.
Tutor: Dementia Services Development
