Targeted at Members working with older people
Duration Evening lecture 6.30 - 7.30pm
This lecture will outline an initiative in Sweden which developed centres to engage older people in activities. In these centres health and social care workers, older people and the local community have developed programmes of arts, music, sensory stimulation, physical activities and entertainment all of which intended to make a positive impact to health and wellbeing in later life. This lecture will look at the range of stakeholders the project impacted on
Older people - to develop and implement a programme of physical and cultural activities
A city wide multi disciplinary team – to develop and introduce activities that met the older peoples’ expressed needs.
All stakeholder groups – to evaluate the impact of the centre
Colleagues across Europe – to share our learning experiences.
