Mentoring and Support

Targeted at: Experienced stewards, activists, members of self organised groups, who have completed One Step Ahead training
Duration: 1 day

What You and Your Union Can Gain From The Course?
* Gain the understanding of what mentoring is
* Develop key mentoring skills including listening and questioning
* Develop awareness of the process of developing stewards
* Develop a network of mentors

Key Issues For You As A Mentor
* Use the skills and knowledge that you have developed as an experienced steward in UNISON to help and support new and inexperienced stewards
* Understand the boundaries of mentoring and how you can develop the skills and knowledge within the trade union
