Targeted at Stewards, Health & Safety Officers

What you and your Union can gain from the course:

• Sickness absence policies, common Problems and how to over come these

• Attending a Sickness Absence Interview and supporting members

• Dealing with Workplace Injury/Ill Health ensuring members are not discriminated against

• Disability Discrimination Act how to use the act to defend member’s rights

• Campaigning on Sickness Absence Issues making our workplaces safer

Key areas for you as a Steward:

• Know how to represent your members at sickness absence interviews
• Know where stewards can get support and advice
• Ensuring members rights are protected
• Developing communication, representing problem solving and ensuring our members work in a safe environment
