• To give UNISON Branch Education Co-ordinators the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to successfully carry out their role
• To develop a team approach to Branch Education & Training
Key Areas for you as a Participant:
• Understand the role and function of Branch Education Co-ordinators
• Understand the role of education and training in UNISON organisation development
• Be aware of the education and training opportunities available in UNISON
• To explore ways of assessing the education and training needs of the branch, activists and members
• Gain experience of drawing up a branch education plan
• To develop arguments for branch funding for education and training
• To know who to plan a branch education event and recruit participants
• Know how to deal with reluctance to attend courses
