Duration: 3 hours
UNISON has over 35,000 members 85% of our members are women. Our women are involved in tackling the issues of domestic violence, working on the issue of breast and ovarian cancer, networking with other women’s organisation and enjoying the opportunity to network.
Our successful membership involvement continues to let you know about what's happening in your area and to ensure you can tell us what you want from the union. A series of membership schools will be held throughout Northern Ireland
What you can gain from this member meeting:
• A knowledge of how UNISON works
• Information on who your contacts are in the workplace
• Information on what UNISON has to offer you
• Opportunities to gain confidence and skills
• A chance to meet other women UNISON members
• An understanding of the changes facing you in your employment in the future.
Unless stated, they are generally held on a Saturday morning from 10.30 am and lunch will be provided. Childcare costs will be paid and transport will be provided. Any other reasonable costs will be met by UNISON.
