United Hospitals Trust has a number of places on the Open University Pre-Reg Adult Nursing diploma course. This is a workbased course which enables participants to gain a professional nursing qualification without having to give up your job.
Places are limited to staff on a permanent contract who are working as a Nursing Auxiliary/Health Care Support Worker.
Criteria includes
NVQ 2 plus numeracy (GCSE Maths A - C or Numeracy Level 2)
NVQ 3 plus numeracy (GCSE Maths A – C or Numeracy Level 2)
K100 plus numeracy (GCSE Maths A – C or Numeracy Level 2)
5 GCSEs including English and Maths A – C
*Courses which are recognised as equivalent to GCSE English and Maths can be found here
Information sessions will take place on
Thurs 31st Aug from 10am - 12pm in Classroom 5, Fern House, Antrim Hospital site
from 2 - 3pm in Quiet Room, Ward 2, Whiteabbey Hospital
The Open University will be doing a presentation and will answer any questions you have. Deadline for applications is 20th September and application packs are available at the information session and from Carolyn Kerr, Assistant Director of Nursing, Bush House. Interviews will take place on Oct 6th, additional interview days may be added depending on numbers.
