Dealing with Death & Dying in Health Care Settings - 12th June

As part of UNISON’s Continuing Professional Development programme United & Homefirst UNISON branch will host a workshop on “Dealing with Death & Dying in Health Care Settings” . This is a taster session based on an Open University module and will run from 1 - 2pm on June 12th in the Lecture Theatre at Fern House, Antrim Area Hospital site.

The session is based on the Open University module Death & Dying K206 which includes understanding and evaluating some concepts used frequently in managing death and dying, such as ‘a good death’, ‘autonomy and dignity’, ‘truth telling’ and ‘partnership and teamwork’.

This is aimed at nurses, allied health staff, nursing auxiliaries/assistants, health care assistants and student nurses but any UNISON member is welcome.
