United Hospitals Offer OU Pre-Reg Nursing Diploma

United Hospitals Trust has a number of places on the Open University Pre-Reg Adult Nursing diploma course. This is a workbased course which enables participants to gain a professional nursing qualification without having to give up your job. »more

Information Sessions on K100 - June 8th & 9th

UNISON will be running the Open University K100 Understanding Health & Social Care course in partnership with United Hospitals Trust in October. This course provides a stand alone qualification and can also potentially link into programmes in nursing, social work, health management and youth studies. Information sessions will take place on the Antrim Hospital site, in Mid Ulster Hospital and at Whiteabbey. UNISON will access funding for 15 members from lower income households to to do this course free of charge. The course will be open for any UNISON member to apply, but candidates must meet set criteria and get approval from their line manager. »more

Dealing with Death & Dying in Health Care Settings - 12th June

UNISON calls for extension to nurse and social work training

UNISON challenged the DHSSPS to make nurse and social work training more accessible to staff such as home care workers, care assistants, nursing auxiliaries and social work assistants.
