As part of UNISON’s commitment to continuing development opportunites, we are running a series of lunchtime seminars based on Open University modules. The first one in the series will be run in the Royal Victoria Hospital on Tuesday May 9th entitled “Promoting Health: developing effective communication in Health care settings”
The seminar will run in the Samuel Irwin lecture theatre from 12 - 1pm and is open to any UNISON member. It is a taster based on the Open University module Promoting Health: Skills, Perspectives and Practice K301 which includes an opportunity to explore issues, innovations and dilemmas in health promotion, preventive measures, health education and the ‘new public health’. The session will be delivered by Sharon Henry, OU tutor, and will be of particular interest to nurses, nursing auxiliaries, student nurses, health care assistants and home care staff.
