North & West Trust has a number of places on the Open University Pre-Reg Mental Health Nursing diploma course. This is a workbased course which enables participants to gain a professional nursing qualification without having to give up your job. »more

Whether you want to improve your career prospectives, learn a new skill or take on a hobby there's something for you. Some courses such as Essential Skills are free, short courses can start at as little as £4 per class, with concession rates available if you are on benefits including working tax credit or over 60. »more

UNISON challenged the DHSSPS to make nurse and social work training more accessible to staff such as home care workers, care assistants, nursing auxiliaries and social work assistants.
