Safer Recruitment and Selection Training - POC (NI) - March

This workshop covers the operational guidance on the POC (NI) Service - previously known as PECS. It looks at the key points of the relevant Protection of Children and Vulnerable Adults Order legislation, how to access the service and what to do with the information obtained as a result of the check. It takes place in Ballymena on March 6th and in Ballymena and Belfast on March 14th

The afternoon session delivered by NIACRO, builds on this good practice and outlines the legislative requirements in relation to the fair recruitment of people who have criminal convictions. It covers the Rehabilitation of Offenders Legislation and looks at the risk issues in assessing the relevance of an offence to a job or volunteering opportunity.
