The Smoking Ban - How Will It Affect You? - 31st Jan 2007

This one-day seminar takes place in Island Arts Centre, Lisburn and aims to raise awareness amongst community groups about how the forth coming smoking ban will be implemented and the impact it will have within community settings. This seminar will be of interest to individuals and organisations who work within community settings who have an interest in health development and/or policy implementation.

The seminar will explore the legislation, new policies which require development, input from community practioners and a smoker’s perspective. In addition there are a number of workshops where participants will have an opportunity to discuss implementing the smoking ban in your setting and any specific issues which may arise

  • Mental Health/Disability
  • Healthy Living Centres/Surestart
  • Community Organisations
  • Residential Home Settings

There is no charge for this seminar as funding has been provided by the Eastern Health and Social Services Board.
