4 Sep 2006

This UK wide award scheme aims to connect local voluntary and community groups to the Internet by awarding successful organisations with internet-ready PCs. Applications are now available for any community or voluntary organisation.

In 2006/7, over 1,300 awards will be made to groups that can demonstrate how a PC and internet connection will benefit their work and the local community. Groups such as silver surfers, playgroups, cultural groups and local environmental initatives to youth sports organisations have all been successful. There are two rounds of the award scheme. Applications should be submitted prior to the closing dates of 26th October 2006 and 15th February 2007. To apply online or download an application form visit BT Connections website
