Working with the North West Institute of Further & Higher Education, UNISON is offering members a range of computer courses. Read on to find out more.
Essential Skills through IT (free) - A course to help improve your confidence with English and learn basic computer skills (18 weeks x 3hrs)
Improving Your Numeracy (free) – Do figures scare you? Would you like to be able to help the kids with their homework, then this course might be for you (25 weeks x 2hrs)
Introduction to Computers (£21.80 for exam) - This course will start at the beginning and give you the skills and confidence to get online, type and print reports (15 weeks x 3hrs)
CLAIT (£21.80 for exam)– A more advanced computer course covering wordprocessing, spreadsheets, databases and internet (20 weeks x 3hrs)
Return to Learn (free) - This course covers study skills, personal confidence, making presentations, research and analysing information, essay writing. Ideal if you haven’t been learning for a long time and would like to proceed to further study. (One residential weekend, plus 20 sessions x 3hrs)

Dealing with Stress in Your Workplace - 10th April This course will run in the UNISON North West Centre in Clarendon St. on Monday 10th April from 10am – 4pm. You can apply for time off from your work to attend.
