UNISON challenged the DHSSPS to make nurse and social work training more accessible to staff such as home care workers, care assistants, nursing auxiliaries and social work assistants. Upper Bann Institute (UBI) have just announced the release of their ‘Pre-Access Taster Programme’. Designed as a stepping stone to their ‘Access Programme’, this course will run for a total of 18 weeks – 3 hours per week and will provide instruction in a diverse range of skills. »more

Working with some employers such as Health Trusts we have been able to offer courses such as Return to Learn which you can do in your work time. »more
