As part of UNISON’s commitment to continuing development opportunites, we are running a series of lunchtime seminars based on Open University modules. Understanding Health and Social care: How Health and Social care is, or should be provided will run on Monday 19th June. The events are targeted at nurses, allied health staff, nursing auxiliaries/assistants, health care assistants, student nurses, home care staff, but may be of interest to other staff working in Trusts or private nursing homes.
“Understanding Health and Social care: How Health and Social care is, or should be provided” is a taster based on the Open University module K100 Understanding Health & Social Care which we plan to run in partnership with Causeway Trust in October. The K100 explores the politics of care, what happens when care goes wrong, models of care and their impact on beneficiaries. The session will be delivered by Pauline Nellis, OU tutor and will run in Seminar Room 2 in the Multidisciplinary Centre, Causeway Hospital from 12.30 - 1.30pm
