Belfast City Hospital has a number of places on the Open University Pre-Reg Adult Nursing diploma course. This is a workbased course which enables participants to gain a professional nursing qualification without having to give up your job.
Places are limited to staff on a permanent contract who are working as a Health Care Support Worker.
Criteria includes
NVQ 2 plus numeracy (GCSE Maths A - C or Numeracy Level 2)
NVQ 3 plus numeracy (GCSE Maths A – C or Numeracy Level 2)
K100 plus numeracy (GCSE Maths A – C or Numeracy Level 2)
5 GCSEs including English and Maths A – C
*Courses which are recognised as equivalent to GCSE English and Maths can be found here
Information sessions will take place on September 5th in the Ennis Room from 10am - 12pm and 2 - 4pm. The Open University will be doing a presentation on the programme and you will have a chance to ask questions. Deadline for applications is 22nd September and application packs are available at the information session and from Bernadette Gribben, 3rd Floor Bostock. Interviews will take place on Oct 11th and 13th.
