The purpose of dementia advocacy is to assist and support older people with dementia and memory impairments to articulate, exercise and defend their rights and to fully participate in both the minor and major decisions affecting their lives. The sessions will be participatory and interactive and will provide the opportunity for practitioners to reflect on advocacy in the context of their own work.

Early Years practice: care or education? - Wed 14th Dec

This half day course is targeted at classroom assistants and early years workers. The language of education has become increasingly associated with Early Years practice, where once it was more associated with care. This workshop aims to explore the implications of this shift for practitioners, their relationships with children and colleagues and their understanding of themselves as practitioners.

Healthcare Issues for Transgender People Seminar
